Nigerian singer Abeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly called out his former benefactor, Olamide, in a recent video.
In a translated excerpt from the video, Portable accused Olamide of using fellow artist Asake to overshadow him in the industry.
“Olamide, you brought Asake to compete with me. You wanted to push me out, so I had to leave for Sango. From there, I traveled the world. But look at the artist you elevated over me—he has now abandoned you without even saying thank you. You took my producer, my promoter (Kogbagidi), and my dancer, yet I still appreciate you for the verse you gave me on Zazu.”
Portable also claimed he started the trend of wearing oversized clothes and big shoes, but Olamide allegedly encouraged Asake to copy his style. He further accused Davido of hijacking his influence in the cryptocurrency space, stating:
“I was the one influencing crypto and Bitcoin, but now Davido has taken over and claims to be a rich man.”
