A Video of the 400level University of Benin student, Desmond, popularly known as Mayor, who was murdered on Monday night by unknown individuals at the School hostel, has confirmed his association with the ‘Kegite’ group.
The deceased had been alleged to not only be part of the socio- cultural group which was formerly called ‘Palm Wine Drinkers Association’, but also the leader of the group.
In the video, Desmond is seen and heard uttering words that are barely understandable to a group of youngsters who had gathered round him at an open environment to perform a rite.
However, an inquisitive media user had enquired what the words meant which someone who seemed to be familiar with the words, replied that it is an encode statement used to communicate among the group and at the period the video was made, Desmond was blessing his members.
