The government of Sokoto State has announced that it will allocate a sum of N6.7 billion towards its Ramadan feeding initiative. This program will encompass the distribution of grains as well as the provision of meals at designated feeding centers.

During the official commencement of grain distribution to over 18,400 orphans and destitute individuals throughout the state, Governor Ahmed Aliyu unveiled the plan. He stated that each of the beneficiaries will receive bags of rice and millet, along with a cash amount of N5000.

Expressing gratitude, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, commended the state government for its commitment to sustaining the Ramadan feeding program. The Sultan pledged his support to the governor in his endeavors to enhance the living conditions of the people.
