Legendary Juju musician, King Sunny Ade, has reportedly gone missing, according to alarming claims made by his daughter, Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, on social media.

In a series of viral posts, Damilola alleged that the 78-year-old music icon was kidnapped by his manager and stepbrother, identified as Dayo, along with other family members. She also shared troubling details about her father’s health and the alleged mistreatment he has suffered while in their custody.

The situation gained wider attention on April 28, 2025, when media personality @Akanbitheduke took to Instagram to echo Damilola’s appeal for help. In a detailed post, he revealed that he had tried unsuccessfully to contact King Sunny Ade before a concerned friend, speaking on Damilola’s behalf, reached out to him.

Akanbi claimed that multiple attempts by the singer’s close associates to reach him had failed, further fueling concerns about his safety and well-being.

Photos shared alongside the posts show King Sunny Ade during public appearances, with captions emphasizing the urgency of the situation. As of now, there has been no official confirmation or response from King Sunny Ade’s management team.
