Within just six months of its grand opening, the multibillion-naira luxury hospitality hub, The Jagz Ibadan, is playing host to an influential gathering of Nigerian governors under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Oyo State capital, Ibadan.

Among the dignitaries who arrived on Sunday were the governors of Bauchi, Enugu, and Zamfara States; the Deputy Governors of Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States; the PDP National Chairman; a State Chairman of the party; and several other high-ranking PDP leaders from across the federation.

The delegates, who form key organs of the PDP National Executive Council and other vital party structures, converged on The Jagz Ibadan to unwind and settle in following their strategic meeting held at the Oyo State Government House.

Governor Seyi Makinde, the host and visionary behind the hotel’s development, had officially commissioned the hotel on October 1, 2024. At the commissioning, he reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering investments capable of transforming the state’s hospitality landscape. Industry stakeholders have since lauded the hotel as the finest hospitality establishment in the state.

Located in the serene Iyaganku area of Ibadan, The Jagz stands as a beacon of luxury and innovation. Its state-of-the-art amenities—ranging from conference and meeting rooms to a fine-dining restaurant, stylish bar, swimming pool, gym, and high-speed internet—have proven ideal for hosting top-level meetings and elite guests.

The hotel’s elegance and its role as a hub for prominent societal figures underscore its emerging reputation as a pacesetter in the hospitality industry.

Prior to this gathering, The Jagz Ibadan had hosted an array of notable personalities, including serving and former ministers, senators, members of the House of Representatives, business leaders, traditional rulers, policy experts, and youth changemakers.

Sharing his thoughts via his verified social media platform, Governor Makinde remarked:
“We hosted a banquet in honour of our great party’s governors who are in Ibadan for the PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting.
In my remarks, I thanked my brothers who attended the event despite the limited access to Ibadan caused by the ongoing airport upgrade.
This PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting is critical at this time as we discuss the way forward for our party and reposition the PDP as the best choice for Nigerians in 2027.”

With events like this, The Jagz Ibadan continues to cement its place not only as a symbol of luxury but also as a center of political and social convergence in Nigeria.
