Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, arrived late to the inauguration ceremony of Senegal’s newly elected President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

The event took place at the Centre International de Conferences Abdou Diouf in Diamniadio. The news was first reported by Kennedy Wandera, an international journalist, who shared a video on Twitter showing Tinubu arriving at the venue with his aides.

According to Wandera’s tweet, Tinubu arrived after all the heads of state had been moved from the presidential holding room and seated in the auditorium. Despite his late arrival, Tinubu found his reserved seat and joined the other dignitaries.

Tinubu had left Nigeria on Sunday to attend the inauguration ceremony. The reasons behind his delayed arrival while his fellow presidents were already present are unclear.
