The ongoing scandal of the popular Nigerian actor by the name Olanrewaju Omiyinka also known as Baba Ijeshsa has made its way into the depth of every neighborhood in Lagos.
It is no news that the 48-year old actor was accused of rape, molesting a 14-year-old girl, and therefore put on cuffs by the Nigerian police.
Pieces of evidence from CCTV footage have however shown the actual events that took place between the minor and comic actor, and have therefore fostered the attempt to release the accused from police custody. The Police department has stated that investigation into the case shows the actor did not defile the victim, adding that the victim confirmed she was not defiled on questioning.
A Lawyer and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association by the name of Barrister Simon Otuaka have therefore revealed some facts about the incident, which may have negated what many believed to have happened in the small room.
He stated, “We must learn to talk and act without sentiment, we say what we think and believe should have happened in the room and actually refuse the evidence before us.”
He further explained that he is not in any way supportive of Baba Ijeha’s actions, neither will he condone rape, but there are many facts to say there is something odd about this incident.
1. The girl in that video is not 14, in fact, she is not a teenager.
2. It was a clear setup. The girl, her mother, and others must have written the scripts and rehearsed them before Baba Ijesha came. The girl too was hugging and touching Baba Ijesha like a pro.
3. It was a clear conspiracy, an average 14-year-old is mature and understands the sensitive parts of her body. There was no iota of resistance, she followed the lead according to the script.
4. Baba Ijesha confessed to indecent assault, not rape.
5. as well, they need to be interrogated properly.
Well, many people are still of the opinion that Baba Ijesha is a foolish man, not everything that glitters is gold. Just a small provocation, your brain has stopped working and your manhood has taken over. He should face the wrath of the law for indecent assault.
On a serious note, I personally didn’t know that licking a woman’s finger does wonder o. I wonder what generation I was born into.
