A nursing mother made a scene as she threw her baby into a river along Badagary road in Lagos, LIB, reports.

Fortune smiled at the baby when a good Samaritan quickly jumped in to rescue the situation, as seen in the viral video on social media.

The video shared by @lindaikejiblogofficial had people gathering, as the man carried the baby out of the river. Aggrieved witnesses called for her head, while others opted for her to be pardoned.

When asked why she committed the act, the woman said she was tired of life. She mentioned the baby had lived long enough, having done his naming ceremony and was free to exit the world. This made the people conclude she was mentally ill.

It was learnt that the baby was consequently taken to an undisclosed hospital to be properly catered for.
