Senator Oluremi Tinubu has finally reacted to the death threat issued by a muslim cleric to her, stating that she isn’t afraid of death.

This statement was made during her visit to the palace of Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu. The purpose of her visit was to commission an Alternative High School and ICT center in Bauchi.

This trip occurred shortly after a cleric, Sunusi Abubakar, issued a death threat against her. In a now-retracted statement, the cleric referred to her as an infidel who should be killed.

Remi Tinubu said, “I want to thank His Excellency for assuring me that I am safe but what I said is that I am too old to be afraid.

“If God has granted me 60 years, I think I shouldn’t be afraid of death but I thank God I had the courage to come. Nigeria belongs to all of us and this is the time to unite more than ever before.

“Nigeria needs prayers and we believe that God will answer our prayers.”
Following the nationwide outrage, Governor Bala Mohammed apologized to Senator Oluremi Tinubu on behalf of the people of Bauchi.
