Hauwa Atiku Uwais, the Daughter of the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has alleged that it’s not the case of her father being desperate for the Presidency seat. She stated that her father has sacrificed so much for the Nation and that this is the time to reap the benefits of what he had sowed over the years.

She pointed out that it has been an issue of passion for Nigeria in Atiku’s pursuit to be the President. She alleged that Atiku had stepped down twice for others to have a shot at the Presidency and that the family will not want this sacrifice to waste after all this years.

She said, “My dad has been in politics since 1988, and we have been contending for that position most of our lives. We personally believe that he has sacrificed a lot for Nigeria, Nigerians wants my father as the President. He had once to down in 1992 for the betterment of Nigeria. In 2003, he stepped down to allow President Olusegun Obasanjo to continue second term for the betterment of Nigeria. For us, it’s not a case of they don’t want him, Nigeria wants my father. And he wants to leave a legacy for Nigeria and that is the desire and passion for him.”
