52-year-old Constantia Govender woke up inside a freezer at the mortuary, after she was allegedly declared deceased by doctors at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
According to news reports, Constantia was transported to the hospital shortly after she collapsed on the street, doctors at the hospital confirmed her deceased and referred her to a mortuary.

However surprisingly Mrs Govender woke up at the mortuary, and she has shared with Tabloid newspaper what she remembers about the ordeal, “I remember waking up feeling cold, naked and covered with a sheet from a corpse bed” she said.

“I had no idea I was pronounced dead, I screamed loud for help and began banging on the metal door until a group of mortuary workers came to my aid and took me out of the cold room” she said.
Mrs Govender may possibly sue the hospital for negligence.
