An 18-passenger bus with the registration number Oyo GBH 734 XB plunged into the Kinnira stream in Ogbomoso, the second largest city in Oyo State, on Sunday night. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

According to sources, the bus was traveling from Iluju when it fell into the river. At the time of the accident, only the driver, identified as Mayowa, was in the vehicle and managed to escape unharmed. It was revealed that passengers had disembarked earlier due to a prior crash involving the bus.

Witnesses reported that the driver lost control, colliding with the railings before the bus fell into the canal. The bus has since been retrieved from the river, but as of Tuesday, the whereabouts of the driver remain unknown.
