Alhaji Ismail Adewale Mustapha, popularly known as Yaro, is a distinguished figure in Ogun State’s transport management landscape, currently serving as the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state. A man of remarkable pedigree, Yaro has not only made significant contributions to the field of transport management but also earned a reputation as a leader of integrity, a reformer, and a beacon of hope for union members.

Yaro’s educational background speaks to his dedication to self-improvement and professional excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.), with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in progress. He is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Transport Management. This impressive academic journey provides him with a deep understanding of both transport management and legal frameworks, equipping him with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the sector.

His knowledge extends beyond theoretical concepts; Yaro possesses hands-on experience that spans various aspects of the transport industry. Over the years, he has held key positions within the NURTW, serving as a State Executive member and South-West Executive member. His work as a Personal Assistant to Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, the National President of NURTW, further solidified his credentials and gave him a deeper insight into the union’s operations at the highest levels.

Yaro’s appointment as Ogun State Chairman of the NURTW represents a significant turning point for the union. Known for his amiable nature, he brings a refreshing change to the leadership style in the union, marked by openness, supportiveness, and a dedication to the welfare of members.
