The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has been freed after spending 12 days in the custody of his abductors.

Olajuni confirmed his release in a short video posted on X, where he appeared in a moving vehicle.
“I have been released,” he stated, adding that he regained his freedom in Ibilo, Edo State, on the evening of his release.

He was abducted on Monday, February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja for a meeting. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N100 million and two tricycles for his release.

Following his abduction, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun ordered the deployment of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to facilitate his rescue.

Earlier, a distressing video of Olajuni surfaced online, showing him at gunpoint, pleading with Nigerians to raise funds for his freedom.
