The spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has officially confirmed the arrest of controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry.
His arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of 27-year-old super star singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad who passed away under controversial circumstances on Tuesday, 12th September 2023 leading to a nationwide public outcry, a call for #JusticeForMohbad.
Confirming the arrest of Sam Larry via his Twitter account, Hundeyin said, “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation. #JusticeForMohbad”
There had been reports that the state police command had earlier invited Marlian Label boss, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley and Sam Larry for questioning over Mohbad’s death.
