A tragic development has emerged in the ongoing sex scandal in Equatorial Guinea, as one of the women allegedly featured in explicit videos has reportedly taken her own life. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was said to be overwhelmed by the virality of the footage, which has ignited a media frenzy across the nation.

The scandal came to light following the arrest of Baltasar Engonga, the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency. Engonga faces serious allegations of misconduct, including the unauthorized recording of over 400 videos involving the wives of high-profile figures in the country. The disturbing revelation surfaced amid a larger investigation into fraud that led to a search of his residence and office, where officials uncovered numerous CDs containing the controversial recordings.

The explicit videos reportedly feature intimate encounters with influential individuals, including the sister of the President, the wife of the Director General of Police, and spouses of approximately 20 ministers. The widespread dissemination of these videos has sparked a public outcry, with calls for enhanced protections for the privacy and dignity of those affected.
