The Oyo state police command have confirmed that the suspect in the case of an Ibadan-based Instagram cloth vendor, Adeshina Olayinka, who died at Wetland Hotel, Akobo, in Ibadan, is in their custody.
It would be recalled that the deceased reportedly passed on after the man she was with checked out early on Thursday morning.
According to Punch Newspaper, the suspect voluntarily turned himself up after he was called by the management of the hotel.
A staff of the hotel who spoke to Punch Newspaper, said the suspect didn’t hesitate to turn himself.
“So, we called the suspect to inform him about the incident. He was shocked and rushed down to the hotel to present himself to the police. ” the source told PUNCH Newspaper.
Speaking further, the source said the suspect told them that the deceased complained about being weak the night they checked in.
” he said the lady was complaining that night that she was weak. And that was why he just allowed her to rest,” the staff member of the hotel added.
