Makinde Appoints Wolekanle, Others

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of a new Chairman and members of the Oyo State Local Government Commission, as well as additional members of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing).

This follows the earlier appointment of Alhaji Hashim Atere and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olokuta as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), respectively.

In a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, the newly appointed members of the Oyo State Local Government Commission are as follows:

1. Hon. Akinwale Akinwole – Chairman

2. Mr. Yusuf Ali Akinkunmi – Full-Time Member

3. Alhaji Oke Taiwo – Full-Time Member

4. Mr. John Abisoye Adisa-Oke – Part-Time Member

5. Mrs. Nike Arewa – Part-Time Member

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The newly appointed members of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) include: Abdu Rahman Agbotomokekere, Amusat Ayyub Agboola, Dawud Afolabi, Latifat Dairo, and Mallam Abdusallam Abdullateef. These appointments take immediate effect.

Governor Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to view their new roles as a call to dedicated service.
