Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a man for stabbing his wife multiple times with a knife during a fight.
The arrest of the man Ozo Uba who is currently in detention over the matter was announced by the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Bright Edafe, via his Twitter handle on Thursday, saying the man stabbed his wife, whose name was given as Sandra James, aged 29 years multiple times with a kitchen knife.
It was gathered that the man had a quarrel with his wife which degenerated into a fight, and in the process, he brought the knife and used it to stab the wife multiple times.
After he stabbed his wife, the lady was said to have been rushed to a hospital where she gave up the ghost while receiving treatment.
According to Edafe, following her death, policemen launched a manhunt for him and he was eventually arrested. He is currently in custody while investigation of the circumstances surrounding the incident has begun.
