A man has been taken into custody by the Ogun State Police for the alleged murder of his ex-wife during a dispute in the Sango-Ota area on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM when 37-year-old Muftau Adefalu engaged in a confrontation with his former partner, Yetunde Olayiwole.

According to Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola, the altercation escalated, leading to Olayiwole collapsing. She was subsequently rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Odutola confirmed to DAILY POST that Adefalu has been arrested and is currently being detained while further investigations are conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding Olayiwole’s death.
